Between school and college I traveled through Europe, and spent six months in Italy where I studied the Italian masters. During my college years I edited the college magazine which went on wide circulation. I also gained considerable experience in roles demanding liaison with the general public in a variety of part-time jobs from bar work to teaching. I was a member of the college sailing team and latterly skippered one of the senior crews. Since graduating I have been seeking a suitable permanent appointment, undertaking temporary writing appointments in the meantime. I read and speak colloquial French and Italian fluently.
